I had the most amazing stay at a charming B&B nestled in the beautiful wine-making countryside. The room I stayed in, 'Rose', was impeccably furnished with a super comfy bed that made for a warm and cosy retreat. The hosts, Lotte and Wouter, were incredibly accommodating and prepared a delicious meal of Mushroom quiche, Sanglier Bourguignone, and Crème Brulée. The breakfast, served around a large dining table, was a delightful start to the day. I even had the opportunity to visit a local wine producer and take home a few bottles. Despite a minor issue with the WiFi signal, the serene countryside surrounding the B&B beckoned me to put on my hiking boots and explore. And to my surprise, I was able to cool off with a refreshing swim in the pool! I would highly recommend this B&B for its exceptional hospitality and picturesque location.

The house was filled with beautiful vintage furniture and lovely floral accents that made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The general areas, such as the terrace and garden, were well-maintained and provided a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation. As a senior, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel, with its spacious rooms and easy navigation through the property. It made my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
I would have loved to see the children working there offer more senior-friendly activities or services. A small exercise or wellness program designed specifically for older guests would have been a wonderful addition to make our vacation even more delightful.

The charming decoration of Les Portails Bleus made me feel right at home. The cozy sitting area with antique furniture and beautiful artwork created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The general areas, such as the garden and terrace, were meticulously maintained and provided a lovely space to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be very accessible, with easy access to the ground floor and a comfortable seating area in the garden where I could rest and soak in the beautiful views of the countryside.
I would have appreciated a more visible presence of the staff or owners. As a senior woman, I sometimes needed assistance with certain tasks, and it would have been helpful to have someone readily available.

Aze provided the perfect backdrop for our family getaway, with its charming streets and beautiful countryside. We stayed at Les Portails Bleus, a warm and cosy guest house run by Lotte and Wouter. The kids absolutely loved exploring the village and playing in the spacious garden. The highlight of our stay was the delicious homemade meal prepared by our hosts, which introduced us to the delightful flavors of Burgundy. We also had the opportunity to visit a local vineyard and sample some of the region's finest wines. Aze and Les Portails Bleus truly created lasting memories for our family.
My kids wished there were more outdoor activities for them.

The rooms were cozy and beautifully furnished, creating a lovely ambiance for a romantic escape. The breakfast served at a large dining table was a great way to start the day, with the opportunity to meet other guests. The location of the B&B was perfect, offering a balance between the tranquil countryside and easy access to the main highway for further exploration.
Occasionally, the WiFi signal was weak due to the range, but this was a minor inconvenience considering the picturesque countryside that surrounded the B&B. In the morning, there was some noise from the nearby road, although it didn't significantly impact our overall experience.

I absolutely loved the charming decoration of Les Portails Bleus. The hotel had a cozy and elegant atmosphere, with beautiful antique furniture and lovely artwork. The general areas were very well-maintained and clean, making it easy for senior people like myself to navigate around. The hotel's accessibility was excellent, with wide hallways and handrails in the staircases. It felt very safe and comfortable for me to move around, even with my walking cane.
I would have appreciated if the children working there could have provided a more comprehensive list of nearby activities suitable for senior people. Having some suggestions for gentle walks or local attractions specifically tailored for us would have made our vacation even better.
